The contract takes effect on acceptance by the client either verbally or in writing of the quotation submitted by the contractor.

Tree Wise Men representing all staff directly or indirectly employed by the company.

All estimates are valid up to three months at which time the price could be subject to alteration.

VAT is chargeable at the current rate.

All cheques to be made out to: Tree Wise Men S.E. Ltd Payment for all invoices is to be settled within 14 days- late payment will result in our debt collection process.

Change to the site conditions from the initial survey is a breach of the contract and will invalidate the estimate. However, should you wish the works to proceed the price could be subject to change. Any changes will be agreed prior to the commencement of the works.

If we request special access or parking facilities as part of our quotation, then failure of this may result in additional charges or an abortive visit fee.

We cannot take responsibility for the eventuality of finding hidden obstructions in the centre of a tree (such as iron or steel). However, we will endeavour to overcome any problems of this nature as efficiently as possible.

Where stump grinding is specified it is carried out to a depth of 6 to 9 inches below ground level.

There is no tracing of lateral roots unless specified and subsequent debris from stump grinding are left on site unless otherwise specified.

Any conservation restrictions or Tree Preservation Orders relative to trees specified in the estimate can be dealt with by us upon agreement. These restrictions remain the responsibility of the client to identify.

The client is fully responsible for informing their neighbours of any tree works which will affect them or their trees along the specified boundaries.

Tree Wise Men cannot accept liability for any damage to services such as Gas, Water, Electricity unless these have been clearly and accurately identified to the contractor at time of contract.

On certain soil types the removal or major pruning of a tree can result in building heave or subsidence. This area is beyond our scope of knowledge and it would be the responsibility of the client to seek the expert opinion of the appropriate professional.

The contractors shall take the necessary steps to ensure that the site is left clear and tidy on completion of the works.

The contractor reserve the right to delay or cancel works that are deemed to be a potential hazard, dangerous weather conditions, interfere with the safe retention of wildlife habitats or are compromised by unforeseen circumstances.
